I’m Jenn Thompson, a painter and collage artist based in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Each piece begins with a bold move and evolves through layered revisions. I keep traces of every brushstroke, every lesson learned. What remains after the edits and erasures is what I trust: the work that stays. Even areas that appear entirely white hold variation, evidence, and proof of the conversation happening on the canvas.

My process is reactive and iterative, shaped by years of working in oil and collage, and grounded in color theory and art history. I hold an MFA in Painting from Colorado State University and a BFA in Studio Arts from the University of Colorado at Denver, with additional art studies in Feltre, Italy. Since 1997, my work has been shown in cities including New York, Berlin, Montreal, Oslo, and Santa Fe, with personal highlights such as the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Agnès b. Galerie in Paris, and Art Athina in Athens, Greece.
